I hope this puts to bed any question about Chris Blair's passion for LSU.

This small moment from the broadcast last night should give you an idea of how much he loves being the voice of the Tigers, specifically, and not just a voice.

The funny thing is the Rant basically got Chris Blair hired and then hated him once he was hired.

TV got Jim fired. As soon as games started showing up online and on ESPN, his accuracy on nearly every play was out to the test and he failed spectacularly. Add in his obvious annoyance with anything that extended the game beyond 2 hours, and you have someone who clearly needed to quit.

This is my biggest complaint - he is slow to tell you WHAT just happened. He called one pitch where we were at bat with a full count like, "that was a good pitch, right at the knees" without telling you if our guy swung and struck out, took the pitch, did the umpire call a ball or strike, was it a strike out or a walk, etc.
Same with routine fly balls and base hits. Was it a hit or an out. Just tell us what happens without trying to color the adjetives so much.
That part drives me crazy.

I’m taking about the thread that got Chris Blair “discovered” and everyone loved him in. Not that the Rant said Hawthorne was washed up. The Rant got Chris Blair hired after Hawthorne announced his retirement.
