It’s was pretty good. We did one of those Secret Movies and this is what they showed. Many people left though once the gore started.

I caught an early screening. Good slow burn horror flick, but not an enjoyable watch. Probably the most upsetting horror film I’ve seen since Hereditary, which it is very reminiscent of. Well made and brilliantly acted, but you won’t feel good when it’s over. Still, I recommend it if you are a fan of Hereditary.

I liked it a lot
There is some gross out porn. The central relationships between various family members were well done with the arguable exception of the father and son. Sally Hawkins was very good in her role. She makes the movie tick.

They've largely been very disappointing lately. They used to be a sure thing, not so much anymore. Seems they've gone too far into making movies artistic and hope that makes them good, instead of making good movies artistically.

Slightly less original and far more gruesome. I also saw it at the mystery movie showing last week. Two people left after one scene that I’m still thinking about. Worth checking out in theaters.

So... yeah.. frick this movie. That was a tough watch. I love horror/thriller but the subject matter was just a little too much.

I really liked Talk To Me, and while this may have been a “good” movie, I doubt i ever rewatch. It was a tough watch

There are some scary parts, but it's the subject matter that makes it a tough watch. Also, it's a lot bloodier than Talk to Me. There is one scene that is particularly bad. That said, Sally Hawkins and the kid actors do a fantastic job.

Finally got around to this one. Definitely more in the Talk to Me tier. Doesn’t come close to Hereditary. Wasn’t as fricked up as I was anticipating either. The knife scene was definitely brutal though. With that being said, the VHS tape footage was the creepiest and best horror about this movie. Do a prequel on that stuff cause that was legit creepy.
