Just finished first 2. It really shows what a shite heel he was both on and off the track

This was surprisingly very surface level and boring.

When I first saw the trailer a few weeks back, I went and watched the podcast episode with Jr and Kerry. shite was crazy. Jr was 11 when he met Kerry.

His podcast is definitely better than this.

It’s really good and brutally honest.

1. I never knew how little of an impact Dale had as a father to Jr. and Kelley until the fire. What happened to Dale’s first wife?
2. The way Ralph treated Dale as a father fueled Dale’s “I have to prove myself” attitude. All he wanted was love and approval from daddy
3. NASCAR racing looked so much better back then than in present day. Everyone had their own personality.

He obviously had the emotional maturity of a 12 year old. I’ll hate watch it to the end. Dude was one of the best nascar drivers ever, but a total failure in every other facet of his life

Dale's first wife is Kerry's mom. She re-married and Kerry was adopted by his stepdad. Kerry didn't meet Dale until he was 16.
If you want more details, listen to Jr's interview with Kerry.

I don’t think they even mentioned Kerry in the first two episodes of this doc. Pretty much like how Dale treated Kerry during this time.

DE was hated until he became an old man. When I was watching and going to the races in the 80s, no one liked DE. Most fans were of Ellliot, Wallace, etc. He was really an arse but you can’t deny his ability, and boldness (overly aggressive).

Thanks. There were some neat stories in there. It was touched on a little bit in the podcast, but what all has Theresa done to make herself out to be a villain with Dale Earnhardt’s name? Back when I was a nascar fan between ‘08-‘20 I remember hearing about it, but can you refresh my memory?

I was a huge fan growing up in the 90s. My grandpa preferred Richard Petty and Davey Allison

Did racing appeal to a broader audience back in the Davey Allison days? In Earnhardt, I remember seeing a lot of young women in the stands and walking around whereas you wouldn’t see that too much today.

A recent story that came out this week is that Dale Sr is buried on property owned by Theresa. Jr and Kelly aren't allowed to visit his grave.

Goodness! Why is Theresa such a B about everything?
