Which one of these courses is in better shape right now? What other courses would you recommend around here?

Haven’t played the island so can’t comment
Copper is good shape, relatively speaking. The periphery of #2 green is a disaster. A few trouble spots on some other greens. The greens are really rolling nice. Overall, course is in really good shape.

The Island is in great shape. a few spots on the greens 13, 2, 9 but they were prepping those areas for sod yesterday so when that comes in, in a few weeks, it will be real good and its cheaper than coppermill and most other public courses. They did punch greens 2 mondays ago so the greens are still healing but roll pretty well considering. Cant speak on coppermill. havent been out there since 2015 but saw pics of some greens. a few spots on edges but nothing crazy bad but #2 green was rough.

Definitely not a biased response

The Island is typically in better condition and has the range but I do love me some Coppermill layout

Where Cooper misses is in its fairways. They’ve done a great job on their greens considering where they were not too long ago…. But those fairways are like fricking concrete.

I know nothing about keeping up fairways, but maybe punch them every now and then? Of course the same could be said for SM.

Played the Island for a scramble I think at the end of April. It was in pretty good shape. Love playing out there, hate that drive back.

I hate that drive and 2, 10&11 but enjoy their practice area and their restaurant.

Dont have much insight on The Island, but Copper mill is looking better everyday. Some of the greens that were rough are starting to fill in nicely.

One thing the island has over every other course is it will be off the path faster than every other course. it drains so well and dries up so much faster. 12 and 14 at coppermill will be a swamp for days

Good they needed a change, it's a shame they let that place get semi outta shape again.

Especially the greens, they were primo for a while
