What you got?

Republican: Vance - Rubio (if Trump ends up in 50% approval or greater). I think DeSantis, Youngkin, and a few others will create a competitive primary. I just like Rubio as an attack dog VP. Vance needs to improve his people skills. But, as sitting VP, he is the front runner if Trump holds a good second term. Otherwise, he is done.

Democrat: Moore - Shapiro. As sad as it is, this is a pretty strong ticket that should not be taken for anything otherwise. Moore disappointed a lot of blacks coming out against reparations. As wild as it is, that is the most mainstream thing a Dem has done in months.

Vance hates the swamp, no way he has Rubio as his VP

Rubio can keep being SOS if he keeps it up.
VP is a waste of his abilities.

Vance/who cares

All depends on how this term goes. Rubio has done a great job as SOS. Saying he is part of the swamp is equal to saying that Vance is part of it. These are required positions based on the US Constitution.

Republicans? Pretty decent bench.

Democrats? Whoever's starfish is large enough to stick the puppeteer's hand in.

DNC would nevah evah allow for a free thinking, principled or moderate candidate ticket.

I said almost 20 years on this board that I do not believe the Democrats will ever select two white, striaght males on their ticket again. I don't think a Shapiro - Beshear/Newsome ticket would be weak.

JD Vance and Brian Kemp. Some of y'all are still mad at him, but he's middle of the road and popular with some of the liberals in Atlanta.

Side-by-side, Rubio has the greater and more meaningful experience on a global stage than Vance. However...

12 U.S. vice presidents have become U.S. president. They are:

- John Adams
- Thomas Jefferson
- Martin Van Buren
- John Tyler
- Millard Fillmore
- Andrew Johnson
- Chester A. Arthur
- Theodore Roosevelt
- Calvin Coolidge
- Harry S. Truman
- Gerald Ford
- George H. W. Bush
- Joe Biden

Here's the list of former Secretaries of State who went on to become president:

- Thomas Jefferson
- James Madison
- James Monroe
- John Quincy Adams
- Martin Van Buren
- James Buchanan

So, 12 VP's and 6 SoS's have gone on to become President, but two of those VP's were also SoS before becoming VP.

Only Thomas Jefferson and Martin Van Buren served as both Secretaries of State and Vice- Presidents who later became Presidents.

So reduce that to 4 Secretaries of State (w/o Veep experience) vs. 12 who served as VP.

Odds are in Vance's favor.

I love Brian Kemp. Will be interesting to see his decision on running for Senate or POTUS.

Rubio has impressed the hell out of me as SOS.

He has a bright future.

VP usually has more name value than than the SOS. In the case of Rubio vs Vance, I think they are about equal.

Andy Beshear and VP pick is Amy Klobuchar.
The Dems wont make another mistake by putting in AOC, because she can't and hasn't debated in her lifetime. I personally think the progressive Democrats will get weaker by then and voters will just be done with that. My take

He's already said he isn't running for Senate which I thought strange because he's projected to handily beat Ossoff. My thoughts are there may be some fear that Democrats could win the governorship and would replace Kemp with a Democrat if he left in 2 years to be Vance's VP pick.
