Set in 1962, Welcome to Derry explores the events leading up to the notorious Black Spot nightclub fire by the Maine Legion of White Decency. The series focuses on the Hanlon family, particularly Will Hanlon, the father of Mike Hanlon from the original films. Through their experiences, the show examines how Pennywise, the shape-shifting entity that awakens every 27 years to feed on fear, has terrorized Derry across generations .

HBO?
I’ll watch.
Because I already have HBO, or whatever it’s called.

Same production team as the two recent It films with Andy Muschietti directing the first four episodes
Billy Skars will reprise his role as Pennywise

True but to be fair, there has been a three hour mini series and two 2.5 hour films and there is still so much they haven’t touched from the book worth diving into.

Truth. My favorite parts of the book BY FAR were the Derry Interludes between chapters.

Looks legit. Its really hard for a horror series to have sustained success though.

Loved the first movie, thought the second was a slog (so, like the book). I’ll give this a chance, glad Bill is coming back as Pennywise.

Is this the prequel to Derry Girls?

Yes, but thankfully they left out King's disgusting pedophilic adventures in the movie. For that I'll always give it a thumbs up.

If it’s half as good as the trailer, it’s gonna be damn good.
