until I watched Skin Deep again last night.

I bet he'd be one of the greats if he was still here making movies.

How did you forget that?! Dude was a legend. Got to meet him briefly at a Coffee Bean in Westwood back in 2000. He couldn’t have been nicer

Ritter had a lot of range too. He did an episode of Law and Order where he killed his pregnant wife because he suspected her of cheating.

Guy had great comedic and acting chops. Gone too soon.

I mean, it was easy to dismiss him as a nepo-baby (Tex Ritter and Dorothy Fay's kid) and his first big exposure was in the silly role in Three's Company, but he was a very, very effective comedic actor. While not a true "joke teller", his comedic timing and sensibilities were superb and he could be either the funny guy or the straight man (probably as good in the modern era of that as anyone except, say Kelsey Grammar or Phil Hartman), plus he was great at heavy physical comedy (which is rare for all three).

A real triple threat who also had the range for more dramatic roles (although he wasn't asked to do much of that after he got big).

Naturally likeable dude.

Played the straight man very well.

The Problem Child movies were obviously not cinematic masterpieces but I loved them as a kid and he plays the frustrated adoptive father perfectly.

I saw Stay Tuned in the theaters as a kid. I loved it at the time, not sure it holds up.

That was a pretty funny movie.

He really carried Three’s Company.

Love him in sling blade as friendly gay guy in small town.

Great foil to Dwight Yoakam’s character, Doyle.

Skin Deep Electro Therapy
The "big laugh" from Skin Deep was suppose to be the glow-in-the-dark condom/lightsaber fight, but the Electro Therapy scene is ten times funnier.

It was also famous for a nude scene featuring Raye "Zap" Hollitt from American Gladiators.

He actually had a re occurring role as the preacher on the Waltons right before Three’s Company

Not an acktually comment, because I never realized until I started watching the old seasons of the Waltons recently
