WNBA investigating 'hateful fan comments' after Clark-Reese incident

Reese understood the foul (after losing her shite), and let the media speak for her.
Clark simply told the truth.
Flashback to last year. Clark was harassed everywhere she went and constantly online and in social media. She was literally assaulted by opposing players multiple times. I don’t remember a “No Space For Hate” program then. The double standard holds and continues to move forward.

The WNBA said Sunday that it is looking into allegations of "hateful fan comments" directed at Angel Reese during Saturday's game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever in Indianapolis after an incident involving Caitlin Clark and Reese.
"The WNBA strongly condemns racism, hate, and discrimination in all forms -- they have no place in our league or in society," the league said in a statement. "We are aware of the allegations and are looking into the matter."

In the third quarter of Indiana's 93-58 win over Chicago, Clark slapped at the ball after Reese grabbed an offensive rebound and had a clear path to the basket. Reese fell to the court, got back up and tried to confront Clark. Fever forward Aliyah Boston got between them. Clark's foul was upgraded to a flagrant 1, and Reese and Boston were assessed technical fouls.

The WNBA announced plans for its "No Space for Hate" platform Thursday, billing it as a "a multi-dimensional platform designed to combat hate and promote respect across all WNBA spaces -- from online discourse to in-arena behavior."

"Basketball play," Reese said. "Refs got it right. Move on."
Clark simply told the truth.
quote:
"Let's not make it something that it's not," Clark said. "It was just a good play on the basketball. I'm not sure what the ref saw to upgrade it, and that's up to their discretion. It's a take foul to put them at the free throw line. I've watched a lot of basketball in my life; that's exactly what it was. I wasn't trying to do anything malicious. That's not the type of player I am."

She's said in the past she has no beef with Clark. It all stays on the court.
She lost her temper in real time because she's competitive.

What do they care what fans say unless it's "let's go buy tickets to the next game"?

WNBA is desperately trying to get some in season drama going.

Glad to see my under 1.5 WNBA games before a fake hate crime bet hitting.
Didn't the sky try to pull this last year also

This whole situation is pathetic including this part
Reese is a disgrace to the LSU brand and a discount player. She needs to be distanced from the progruhm

No space for hate! I guess Bueckers will figure it out like Clark did.

Throat punches would slow that down.

People just looking to make this into something it's not. Must be exhausting

WNBA investigative team has to be the least intimidating thing to be investigated by.

She at least seems willing to stand up for herself this year, unlike last.

oh they must be investigating the thousands of hateful comments on social media like these right?
right????
no. the WNBA will continue to turn a blind eye and allow anti-White rhetoric, all the while desperately trying to dig up and create something else that didn't happen.

They are virtue signaling something that isn’t virtuous, but they don’t care.
