They had a chance to elevate their league but they’ve chosen orchestrated outrage and politics instead. Anything ESPN or Disney controls goes this route

Reese isn’t an elite player and she hates that Clark is. Reese isn’t bad but she hasn’t improved.

This was called on purpose by the league simply for virtue signaling optics. Both of the color commentators immediately began justifying the call and praising the officials so much to the point that it was blatantly obvious they were following strict orders to do so.
The WNBA basically wanted to make a big showing of this like, “see! We love Angel Reese too and we’re going to protect her!”
It clearly wasn’t a “hard” foul. Absolutely nothing about it was flagrant. This was for show only by the league.

The commentators kept going on and on and on about Reese and her mostly meaningless rebounds, until they eventually had no choice but to shut the hell up about it when Chicago was down 30+ points lol.
