I know it was a bad pitch by Cowan, but I want Hernandez back there in a close game. Not worth the defensive drop off for one or two ABs.

Brown is 5-10 (maybe 6-11, they said it on the radio I don’t remember if it was before or after the hit) in Pinch Hit appearnces, I don’t mind the change there.

But even so Hernandez may have missed that ball too.

That ball is getting past most college catchers.

Maybe don't load the bases??????????????
Maybe don't spike the ball
Maybe don't throw a meatball for a game tying HR.
Maybe score more the 5 runs vs a pitching staff that is giving up 15 a game over the last 3 series
Maybe don't get punched out at 3rd twice in the same inning.

We gave up 6 in a Johnny whole staff game that should be a LSU win every time.
Our batting has fallen off.

CJJ makes MANY bonehead decisions. This is definitely one of them .

If Brown doesn’t get that hit and eventually score, that HR in the 9th is a walkoff instead, and the wild pitch never happens.

Probably. Catchers will get lucky and stab that sometimes, but that’s exactly what it is. Luck.

Hernandez’s defense makes zero difference there.

I had no idea Curiel was taken out of LF until JP missed that fly ball. I love JP but I think Curiel makes that play all day.

Brown could have pinched for Pearson.

You realize Hernandez was taken out for Brown who came in, got a pinch hit, and came around to score right?

Or are you unable to reconcile the fact that if the change isn’t made, the wild pitch would have never had to happen?

I’m not convinced here. His defense on the road has kinda mirrored the teams overall road performance.

The boneheaded base running errors cost the game, none of the aftermath happens without that

Awful take here DC ran in circles for two flyballs at AU.
Ball carrying into the corner and off the wall Pearson was our only hope to catch that ball.

Disagree that was a hard ball to catch.

My dog, that ball was getting past Johnny bench in his prime.

It was a hard ball to play. I’m not going shite on Pearson for that play. But saying he was the only hope to catch that ball is a stretch.

Loading the bases didn't matter in that situation, in fact, it was the right move. You had runners on 2nd and 3rd and the batter coming up had 2 consecutive triples prior to that appearance. You absolutely load the bases there and take your chances with a .256 hitter...you just can't spike the ball. But that pitch scores a run regardless of the bases being loaded or not...
