Sucks to see that. He was having a great game. But, Bostons season is now over and the fire sale in Boston is about to commence

Sad that they were only able to get 1 ring from that squad.

Yeah, that was rough. Hard to feel bad for Celtics fans, but to basically have your season end and lose your superstar for the following season in the same game sucks.

Ugh, what a weird season. That might take him out of all next season.

I saw this thread before I watched the game. It was kind of morbid knowing it was coming.

Why on earth would anyone feel this way? Why did this get 11 upvotes? Screw the Celtics. They are not a fun team to watch. They chuck threes. Whippee! They won a title. Congrats. Winning a title is hard. I'm not "sad" that they didn't win two. Its not like they were some unstoppable juggernaut that squandered their opportunities.

The Celtics have 18 rings. I can't imagine anyone here being "sad" that they don't have 19.

Sad as in they spent half a billion on the tax and only came out with 1 ring.

That doesn't make me sad. It makes me laugh.

I have no sympathy for Boston fans who've seen their teams win THIRTEEN titles since 2000. I'm not sad for the billionaire that bought the team. Or the billionaire that sold the team.

After the Pelicans, who will NEVER win a ring, Boston is my favorite team. Has been since the Larry Bird days.

Do any of you actually think this injury helps the Pelicans. I never want to see a superstar lose an entire year due to injury. I'm not sad over it, but I'm definitely not laughing at it.

That's at least the third achilles rupture to above-average to really good starters this season. That's kind of wild.

Durant, Klay, and Boogie all had them a few years back for the Warriors in the same season IIRC.

No one is claiming that Jayson Tatum's ruptured achillies helps the Pelicans. I'm just not "sad" that this Celtics squad "only won one championship."
