Who is going to be the new leader of DOGE after Elon? We need to keep pushing cuts

Trump needs to keep the pressure of DOGE cuts at an all time high.
The two year window to reshape our govt is closing quickly and after a flurry of activity it "appears" to be slowing significantly.
Virtually every FED agency should be facing some minimum cut level of at least 10% or more.
There is no doubt in two/four years they will begin quickly reversing the DOGE cuts so we need to get the "new normal" in place ASAP to make it as hard as possible for the swamp to begin filling again.

Considering that 26 GOPe senators came out against codifying dogs cuts it probably doesn’t matter other than to expose them.

There's a ton of CEOs who would be great at this.
It has to be someone from the private sector though. You need someone who looks at the government through a business lense vs a money machine/welfare program.

Given that there is evidence of waste that approaches the level of fraud (It's apparent that there is fraud, but it isn't appropriate to overstate it yet), I think there's a case to go the special prosecutor route, like the Dems did with Jack Smith and Bob Mueller.
I don't know the process and limitations if Bondi appoints one vs Congress and how the scope would change vs DOGE as it is, or if it can work directly with DOGE, but seems like it would free the DOJ to give it more resources... To be honest, my only criticism of DOGE is that they stayed so small. The kids are talented and work fast, but I have to think Musk could've assembled at least a couple more teams to blitzkrieg more agencies on week 1 before other agencies could prep / resist / hide evidence.
And although it would be unlikely, I think Matt Gaetz would be effective-- and highly entertaining-- in that role.

While I agree with you that to all of us (the court of public opinion) it's fraud I think any govt could easily claim this is just business as usual and to prove actual legal fraud would be a lot more challenging. Plus that process is many years long with legal challenges etc and Trump will no longer be in office when any resolution is arrived at which by them it will be dropped by the next congress or president.

Yeah, I agree on all points. I'm more musing about the feasibility of it vs advocating for it, and curious if it could accelerate progress-- even if it doesn't lead to charges. But I'm open to the possibility that it could be not just a not-so-good idea, but possibly a bad idea.
The possibility comes to mind only because some in the Trump admin and Musk have said they have found outright fraud and forwarded that info to the DOJ, which seems substantial enough for cause (it would be more legit than the Mueller appointment, which had a completely fabricated foundation).

The big balls kids got a lot of publicity, but if you saw some of the panels of experts Musk brought in, it was very structured.
Treasury had a CEO from a software company that made his billions streamlining banks for compliance. He then had the big balls of the team fixing the software and rooting out the nonsense. They have changed the processes as they went. The savings will be there as we go forward.
Russell Vought will take over, he is head of Office of Management and Budget, Musk spoke many times about how they worked hand in hand to implement processes.
For reference Vought was asst OMB when Trump started his first term.....and did not get one dem vote on confirmation (he was later promoted to head of OMB). And when he was confirmed for OMB this go round......he did not get one vote from dems. Remember the shat fest when Trump moved money from defense to the wall when they stopped wall funding. That was your boy Vought.
Watch his interview with Rogan, he is one sharp, dedicated, MAGA before MAGA was invented.
