With 16 SEC schools now. Is the magic number 13 wins gets into Baseball Tournament?

I would think getting to 13 even if you have to win 2 to in Hoover to get to 13. I guess you get in too.

Aggies will be the test case
They are at 10 now and do have some nice series wins and good enough metrics

No, they do not have good enough metrics. Their rpi is 51. But yes, they will be a test case

RPI is in the 50s with numerous bubble teams ahead of them. I’m not so sure they get it with 13. I’d think they need to win out and even that may not be enough, but possible.

All 16 teams play in the SEC Tourney.

I think Florida would get in with 12 with a top 20 RPI. Everyone else will need 13. 13 is a lock now. I think 13 is the new 14 and 12 is the new 13. It isn't just the SEC with 16. It's the entire elimination of the Pac 12. What this is doing is taking the bids from the former Big Ten and partly Big 12 because the 4 west coast teams are dominating the Big Ten and the 2 Arizona schools are locks from the Big 12.
The SEC looked very good for 14 bids until A&M collapsed against Missouri. A&M will probably need to go 3-1 now which includes 3 at Georgia.
The other 13 teams are essentially locks at this point. Mississippi State and Kentucky probably need 1 more win.

If they get swept they’d have to win the series next week and make a deep run in the sec tourney

I wouldn’t say magic number as much as bare minimum. 14 is probably the number that guarantees.
A lot depends on what goes on around the country and if schools “steal” a spot by winning a conference tournament.

A&M probably gets in at 13 since that would mean a series win on the road at RPI 1 UGA. That would fix all the damage they did to it this weekend.
