33-1 when scoring 5 or more runs but 6-10 when not doing so

5 runs on offense is the magic number for this team. Only loss was to Texas in game two 11-7.

Just need to keep getting enough timely hits with RISP and/or a few more HRs and this team can win it all.

This is a testament to our pitching staff this year.

If the arms get enough offense, we win games and it’s proven.

One reason I posted this is that compared with 2023 this team scores fewer runs but also allows fewer runs.

And the top three should never change again. Curiel, Jones, Dick. Think they’re like 25-4 with those three at the top.

The point is that the pitching has been good enough that 5 runs can win the vast majority of games for this team. That is not always true for teams that are not pitching well and playing solid defense.

This is normal for SEC baseball. I think the average run total for winning teams in SEC games has been around 6.5 over the past several seasons.

The Yeskie hate is a great example some people have no idea what they’re talking about when it comes to baseball. Yeskie has done a fine job so far this year.
