If you dont care for Disco then you probably "weren't there". I'm a jam band / blues /rock guy but no way I can hear this and not go back to 1975. 1975 is the smack dab middle of about the best decade ever.

Oh, too be in HS again with or without what I know now.!

Bonus "Tail Chasing" Track

She a BAD Mama Jama...Fine Too!

The Isley Brothers

I wandered on to a disco playlist and every song for the last two hours has been a certified hit. The Disco window opened, a hurricane blew through and then it just slammed shut. Crazy.

Definitely underrated era but I am sure all coming of age era's were the best.

And I aint just jive talking.......

Disco sucks balls
Ever notice that people that dance are smiling and happy? I think its been proven that is its impossible to dance and not be happy.

It was for a very short timeframe (3-4 yrs) just one of many genre's like the Grateful Dead, Talking Heads, 80's EDM and DISCO all made people get up on that floor and boogie woogie oogie oogie till the sun comes up.

I like to be happy. I like to dance, I like to have a good time.

I like to ...Celebrate!

A fun rabbit hole to go down is tracking the Bee Gees history and how they went from Australian boy wonders to the biggest disco band in the world.

The Gibbs are some talented dudes (Barry and Maurice at least)

I was a 18 year old college bartender at a discotheque in Lafayette and when Last Dance came on at the end of the night the available chicks went from and strong 4 to about an mid 8 in a matter of minutes.

Unfortunately, I woke up to many a low 3’s upon “exposure to sunlight”

What a time to be staying alive.

I would never call disco "awesome" but I enjoyed most of it.

I really liked the stuff that was at the forefront, before they actually called it disco.

Here's an incredible version of "Rock Your Baby" by George McCrea. 74 years old and still hitting the notes!
