The only place I've ever seen this ugly little thing is on some commercial that ran endlessly to the point I wanted to smack her. It was not effective. I don't remember the product.

I never played the game, but I've watched every episode of this show and I think it's fricking terrible. The most recent episode will probably be the last I watch.

I obviously can't speak for all of social media, but my anecdotal general impression was reception to the first season was mostly positive but this season has been extremely negative.

Season 1 was fantastic. The reactions we are seeing now are from the last 2 episodes being below all the episodes before them. Episode 2 of season 2 was awesome as well.

Yep, that sounds correct to me. She was fine playing a 14 year old. Plus, you had Pedro as the main lead. This season moves her up as the main protagonist, and she's supposed to be an older and angrier character. But it's not working because she looks like a child and she's just an average actor. The writing by Craig Mazin is also really poor this season

They have to put out a good episode this week. What's funny is if they wouldve just cut the last 8 minutes off episode 4 it wouldve been considered pretty good. The subway zombie scene is where they should've cut it off

I can't believe the same guy that wrote that nonsense also wrote Chernobyl. I think he may have stolen Chernobyl from someone, because it's way too good to be written by the same person.

I haven’t played the game , but watching them entering the building and going to the dead hanging room and then being chased and ending up in zombie infected subway was really intense level TV.
The lesbian stuff is made worse because she’s a Thumbface. I have no idea how much of a part that plays within the game. Yes, the ‘I’m pregnant’ and “I’m gonna be a dad’ stuff was pure shite, but the scenes leading up with the bite and pointing the gun and being prepared to shoot her before she turned was also intense.
6.7 seems way too low of a score.
Edit: I also really liked opening and Isaac scenes. I was much more knowledgable to criticize season 1 because I had played the game and knew the story. I feel much less so this time around, because I never experienced game 2 and I don’t know how accurate or true this season is to the game.

That's what's been frustrating for me. There's some genuinely great stuff here. Episode 2 and most of Ep 4 was just great television. But then you have the Ellie and Dina stuff that feels like you're watching a CW show. I'm also pretty surprised on how unlikable they've made this version of Ellie.

The finger banging after almost getting shot then almost getting eaten was absurd
