I was getting like 15-20g a day.

Most of it from oats, maybe an apple, and then dinner vegetables.

I’ve started to incorporate beans, avocado, and sweet potato with my eggs in the AM. Then an extra serving of fruit or veg throughout the day. Up to 35-40g per day.

Those of you getting more than that, what are you eating?

I hit 15-20 no problem eating fruit with my protein. I’ll supplement with a gummie to get over 30 if I’m consistently coming up short of 30g.

I will get a lot more if I eat the low carb tortillas they will sky rocket me. 70 calories 17g fiber 6g protein. While cutting (right now) these little tortillas do wonders for making me feel full and enjoying my meal.

I have two targets I manage towards: fiber and protein. An easy add is inulin powder. I add some to my coffee every morning. It's slightly sweet and adds a good texture to it.

Zero. There’s no reason to eat fiber as long as you are not eating processed inflammatory foods or diets.

Of course you don't have to eat fiber. But there are clear benefits. That isn't up for debate.

I eat fiber. I think it’s certainly up for debate though

70-80 grams a day. The massive bowel movements are phenomenal. I keep a scale at work and weigh before and after. Record right now is 3.6 pounds.
I eat 3-4 of the xtreme wellness high fiber tortillas a day, couple slices ezekial bread and a spoonful of psyllium husk on occasion.

Anything is open for debate but the evidence for high fiber diets being beneficial is very strong.

I’ll add that I try to eat one serving of fermented foods per day. The gut biome will be the next great expansion of health knowledge.

Fiber isn’t needed if you aren’t eating processed garbage.

The fiber ‘recommendation’ is all based on Dr Denis Burkett hypothesis. Nothing more. There is no evidence from randomized controlled trials that fiber helps with colon cancer or anything else. You do not need any fiber if you are eating a proper human diet.
Stop being an idiot. Fiber has never been proven to help you in any way whatsoever.

Please Google "dietary fiber meta analysis" and start reading.

Just like if you have inflammation the answer isn't to go out and buy a bunch of turmeric or whatever else can 'help' with inflammation you stop eating foods that give you inflammation in the first place. The answer isn't to go out and buy a bunch of 'fiber' supplements or eat grams and grams of fiber. Its stop eating the shite that is making you bloated, gassy, diarrhea, or bowel issues. Its pretty simple. I get zero fiber and have none of those issues. Why?

Brother, nobody is talking about fad diets, buying fiber supplements, or trying natural remedies for a self-inflicted issue.

My post was asking how much fiber people get in their diet.

I then stated that I've started incorporating legumes, vegetables, and fruits. I've said nothing about having gastrointestinal issues.

What in the world are you so upset about?

No thanks. Fiber isn't needed unless you are eating a bunch of awful processed foods which most on here probably are. Also, fiber does not help with colorectal cancer or anything else. You do not need fiber if you are eating a proper diet. The same morons who tell you that you need 30 grams of fiber a day believe in the food pyramid, think eating cholesterol gives you high cholesterol, think that all fats are bad, detoxing is necessary and a host of other stupid shite that in 2025 we know is false. It's not 1970 anymore.

Fiber isn't needed via supplements or eating 30 grams of it a day from foods.

That's what I'm talking about.

You mean the food pyramid that no one actually follows?

You don't need to create straw man arguments. Just point to evidence that fiber is not needed if you eat a "proper human diet". Which I assume is carnivore because I've heard those words from Ken Berry in the past.

Your point to cut out junk is valid. But saying that fiber is not needed requires you to ignore a lot of evidence to the contrary
