“ The FCC listing doesn’t reveal much regarding specs for the handheld, but it did mention a 7-inch 120Hz LCD display with an 8-Core AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme CPU in the Xbox edition, with a smaller 4-core chip in the white one.
There’s a pretty major change to the design of the ROG Ally 2 as well. Instead of the blocky shape of the original, the pictures show molded grips on both sides of the device, similar to the PlayStation Portal.”
So basically just a branded gen 2 ROG Ally.

I was like, "why is their ROG branding on an Xbox handheld?"

I've owned everything Xbox (and honestly MSoft has put out)...I still have an active MSN email...I've owned other platforms, and I just can't quit my Xboxes..
BUT....
In the 25 or so years of all that, I have NEVER thought "you know what, I wish I could play these games on a tiny screen"

It’s more about the mobile aspect.
Playing on a smaller screen also actually is beneficial because games can be run at lower resolutions and it doesn’t look as bad as they would on a normal display.

It kinda looks like shite.
Why not just get a steam deck?
Why not just get a steam deck?

This new handheld has a newer gen processor, gets up to 120hz and up to 1080p resolution.
I agree though it’s not worth the extra money and a steam deck is a better value.

I’m looking at purchasing one once they are released. Looks to have some upgraded specs over current gen and I have to believe that the collaboration will have some deeper Xbox integration on the software side.
As the cross platform lines continue to blur this is an intriguing option to pair with a console and game pass subscription even if that’s all you used it for.
Add the additional capabilities to run other platforms in a portable format and it’s hard to say no as someone who travels a lot.
