How wealthy would you have to be to throwing millions at 17-22 year old kids?

I’m kinda stingy.

Unfortunately, older men do this all the time but usually for younger women(minus the underage women of course), lol. Something about separating a fool from his money.

I honestly don’t agree with the practice the way it is set up so until there was regulation, I wouldn’t get involved no matter the fee. I’d probably already be donating a lot to the university for academics.

Whoever is offering these hefty NIL deals should put some strict clawback provisions in place with financial penalties if the kid transfers from LSU, to deter any from taking the money and runninng.
Multi-million dollar NIL deals are major investments that should be long-term, and players need to live up to their end of the deal by fully committing and not immediately bolting if things don't go their way after they've already been compensated.

It’s a matter of how desperate you are for your teams success. A&M fan? Then you’d be willing to empty your checking account and life savings for a few five stars just to realize you’ve drained all of your money to see A&M go 8-4 again

Guardrails are needed, eventually they will come, too late as always the case with NCAA.

Should be pay-for-performance instead of pay-for-play.

Trust me, that money is coming back to them and more in a lot of cases. Down the road you’re gonna find out NIL is dirtier than any other era.

I shoulda either gotten into the chicken finger business, or be making a killing doing pizza reviews.

I'm interested to hear this. Are you implying NIL are basically loans to get repaid when players hit it big, or are you saying it's some sort of money washing scheme?

Wouldn’t be surprised if a story like that came out

If I'm going to wash money, I'm going to use a cash business, not an 18 year old that can't keep their mouth shut. If I'm going to wash big money, I'm using fine art.
If I'm trying to avoid taxes, I'm going to open a non-profit and use friends and families businesses for various items.
Not that I would do that or recommend people do that.

What kind of investment are you making throwing 6 figures at 18-19 yr old kids? Do the donors somehow think these kids are going to pay them back with interest?
It's a dick measuring activity.

Exactly what it is. Just shiny toys to show off and brag to your friends about. As for the average Joe contributing his few hundred/thousand a year, ill never understand why they contribute. These universities and programs get gobs of money from the govt and major corporations and have profited billions over the years. Let them pay for their own players. Our contribution should begin and end with buying a ticket or buying licensed merchandise.
