Wasn't he the one always running on the field with his arms straight up in the air? I know it was a formation sign or something like that, but it was always cool to watch.

He just turned 47 in late Feb. Very young to pass. Unfortunately he lived with kidney disease the past 20 years or so. He lost a lot of weight, but his heart was also an issue recently.

Still hard to believe he is gone.

Mississippi boy Big Rob was a full grown man at fullback. Used to watch him at practice and every play was like a car wreck. Paved the way for the Diesel in one of the greatest rushing performances in LSU history with some massive and textbook blocks on Takeo Spikes.

That kind of physicality will make a defense quit. Too bad he was too early to play for Les.

RIP Big Rob

Not sure what would motivate someone to down-vote this type thread. It's really weird.

The gofunfme was set up by his sister to pay for funeral expenses. Rondell Mealy has donated as well as Alan Faneca and Blaine McCorkle.

They currently have half of what a typical funeral costs.
