This move is probably about 6 months too late.
Pretty sure the plan was for her to take a position with the Trump administration once he was elected. But she blew up her own prospects based on her time at DEQ.
It's going to be an interesting few months for DEQ. EPA is going to expand the Oil and Gas well guidelines to allow the discharge of treated produced water, and legislature trying to redefine "waters of the State" will have unintended consequences.

The Roger Ward retirement letter that was circulated to the local media describes it pretty well. An employee posted the whole thing to Reddit.
There also seemed to be a new news article about her every month or so. Mostly about how everyone who worked closely with her quit.

Long but very, very good read. I admire that man for taking the time to write that letter. He had been sitting back watching it go on for a long time. Finally said “that’s enough” and wrote it all for everyone to see.
