Vision Pro flop, losing millions on Apple TV, iPhone sales stagnant or down?, tariffs. The AirPods seem to be their biggest money maker

Long term play. Unless there is a disruption in cell phone market.

I think virtually everything in tech will radically change in the next 5-10 years so I’m nervous about a company like Apple that has been returning the majority of their earnings to their shareholders instead of investing in their future.

I'm out of APPL currently, mostly in cash, ... but still follow it closely and occasionally listen to the quarterly calls.

Apple is getting hurt by market uncertainty (think supply chain) and by what some critics express as a failure to keep pace with AI dev ... which had already been partially priced-into the recent stock price..

Here's what G Sachs says regarding supply chain impacts: (5/2/25)

quote:

It's going to be a huge drop off. In fact, arrivals next week at the Port of Los Angeles will be down 35+ % year over year.

Major retailers, home-improvement stores , and manufacturers who source parts from China are saying that imports from that country have all but stopped because the cost of goods made in China have increased in price by two-and-a-half times what it was last month. And they just can't justify that.
