Any other LSU fans running the Tiger 10K on Sunday?

Good luck to my fellow runners

I’m running. Nice race but the start is terrible. Cool to run in to the stadium (looks weird empty)

After party > CCC, you can actually get real beer.

There were two local breweries with a selection of their stuff last year. Some booths had stuff from 3 or 4 different places.

You get three tabs on your bib and one is good for a beer or a food item. They takes cash after your tabs are gone. Its in the parking lot behind south endzone so lots of room.

CCC: Mic Ultra only ( ) and 14,000 people crowded on to 1/2 acre.

I’ll be there too. First timer. Why is the start terrible?

It starts at the South endzone side of the stadium. One road there kinda narrow and they start the 5k and 10k at the same time. 5k on the left, 10k on the right. So the start is a little awkward and slow. You will see lots of serious runners (every cross country team within a hundred miles of BR will be there)
start at the back after the mass has started..

Then the groups split and you get a wider track. No corrals gaggle start.

You will enjoy it, you go by the lakes and sorority houses and finish on the 50 in the stadium.

I’ll be there with the wife and son. Because they are coming we are all doing the 5k. After looking at the weather on Sunday really wish I was doing the 10k. Going to be beautiful.

Really fun race. First race ever so wasn’t sure what to expect. Definitely underestimated race adrenaline and set my pace way too slow to start. Feel like I could’ve shaved a minute or two off with better pacing.

Had a tune up 5 miler a couple weeks ago and hit the wall hard at 4 miles. Kept waiting to hit the wall today but just kept getting stronger. Combo of adrenaline and perfect weather I’m sure.
