Are you referring to a peaceful national divorce? That would be wonderful, but impossible in my estimation. Too many factors and too much at stake. Imagine the divvying up process.

As much as I would like to separate from them, I’d hate for it to come to violence to resolve it. I’m almost 60, and I’d like to live out my days without those worries. I don’t know if that is going to happen.

I don't know how to get a national divorce rolling, but I know it won't be peacefully. Though the majority of liberal states and conservative states' cotizens would be happy to just split and be done with it, there's too much grey area.

Most "blue" states are dark blue strongholds surrounded by solid red that they outnumber with sheer population. Even Oklahoma, arguably the most conservative State in the Union, has a few purplish strongholds. 96% of the US map, though, is red. However, most of the biggest manufacturing industry jobs and other big businesses are in blue and purple areas. California, in spite of its gross mismanagement and insane progressivism, just became the fourth largest economy on earth.

So, a wholesale change would be on the agenda. And money is behind everything. Those currently in power, thrive on that money to maintain this illusion of freedom that is surrounded by a reality of Etatist Kleptocracy. They will burn this entire nation to the ground before they let We the People amicably separate and catalyze the end of their golden goose.

Any separation that is to be successful, would be most uncomfortable, violent and would have ramifications that completely reshape the landscape from the ground up. Whether that needs to happen or not is up to the majority. I've got my opinion but I dare not foist it upon anyone. I know exactly what it would mean if another civil war were to occur. The rest of our natural lives, we would be long bereft of the comforts to which we have grown actively comfortable. Is that what you want? Because that's exactly what it would take to achieve a split.

I’m pretty sure all my downvotes came from liberals. Wouldn’t they want their liberal utopia? They probably know they need conservatives far more than we need them.
