If these two get it going and Jones returns to how he was 5 weeks ago, our lineup would be 2009 tough.

Dickinson should be fine, he did have that horrendous at bat Sunday where he decided to weakly swing at 3 bad pitches in a row but he also laced one right back up the middle Saturday that was unlucky it caught leather.
Milam probably should drop in the order to take some pressure off.
It’s not far off from the whole line up starting to crank it back up. I do wish they would be more like 2023 and get up on the plate and not move so we could apply more pressure with hit batters. 2023 had elite hitters but they also all basically stood on the plate and refused to move so you ended up with a ton of guys on with less than 2 outs via hit by pitch. It feels like since then our team has backed off the plate and more guys are moving vs taking one like Dugas. Early in the year Dickinson was a magnet for the ball.

Dickinson is fine, didnt he have two hits tonight a d some rbis?I think the fact that milams only hits lately have been homers is pretty telling that he's probably trying to do too much. and guy his size shouldn't be swinging for the fences every ab.

I think both of these guys are trying to do too much. Dickinson may have gotten caught up in the home run chase early because he was swinging out of his shoes for a while, but he looks to have slowed down. He should be fine.
Milam is really swinging at everything. I think/hope he will stop pressing and when he does that he will start hitting line drives and they will fine open grass. Just too much talent to not figure it out, I would rather these guys be cold now than in May and June

Well the good news is… we really have about 4 weeks for them to get going.
Look at ole miss and state from a few years ago. Omaha is all
About getting hot at the right time

Most of the team is probably good enough to have a heater for the next 6 weeks.
Then you get a few to get hot around sec tourny time and regionals and it’s ok if one of our better players kinda slump in Omaha
