Under .500 for the first time all season. Brutal start and blanked the lowly pirates minus Skenes

Battle tested. Only 9 years between titles this time. Not 108.

Heaney, the Pirates starter last night has been having a great season so far as well 0.89 WHIP and a 2.50 ERA,. Last nights start is included in those stats.

The Cubs last night accounted for half of the earned runs he's given up this season. Impressive stuff offensively. The Cubs are fun to watch this year.

That said, I'm a Pirates fan, it's tough to even watch baseball anymore.

Yeah man, the Cubs lineup is solid up and down and not many holes. They put up a ton of runs. Their biggest issue is innings 7-9 with the bullpen, but they had some injuries and guys coming back. Hopefully Jed will get a solid arm at the trade deadline to solidify the staff and hope they go deep into the postseason. The National League is loaded with solid teams and the West division is brutal.

Agreed. Need an every day third baseman and some
Bullpen help and they would have a shot to make a run.

I’m definitely pulling for the cubs on that side of the league

Bullpen will be fine. They don’t have an elite closer, but there’s a ton of arms. I’m more concerned about the starting staff now that Steele is DFY.

Man he was rolling too. He'll be back next year, but he was a clear number 2 starter.

Cubbies is so close to being Chubbies when you really think about it…

I watch a lot of Cubbies and have a lot of Chubbies shorts

My buddies and I bitch incessantly about the lineup, ownership, and lack of meaningful offseason moves, so we're all thinking there will be a regression to the (more shitty) mean.

And apparently someone just jumped or fell from the bleachers onto the field and it wasn't good. EMS had to rush in and take them off on a stretcher. Didn't show anything on the Marquee broadcast.

Cubs have had the lead in 9 of their 13 losses. Bullpen has been shaky.

Cubs need 1-2 relievers and somebody who can give them some length in the rotation. I think Shota/Tallion are a decent 1/2 but they need somebody after them with Steele done

We have to do SOMETHING at 3B. Today makes the 8th different person to play that spot this year. Hopefully Shaw heats up and comes back up.
