Very entertaining movie that takes a story we’ve seen many times and really does different things with it.
The importance of music and how the role of music played throughout the movie was very unique and fun.
He’ll, I enjoyed all the buildup and the movie probably still would have been pretty interesting even if there weren’t vampires.
Cast is exceptional as you’d imagine. I really liked the main vampire though. He was shockingly charismatic I found.
Also, the old drunk man was hilarious.
Some things don’t make sense. This movie really isn’t one to get too bogged down into the details. When the vampires attack the barn, no clue how they all come in one at a time or why they pull back. Some things do kinda fall apart if you are watching this with a fine tooth comb. That very last fight is…. One guy against 20 is extremely unrealistic. But I simply shrugged and said it’s a fable.
Btw, I missed what happened with the Chinese lady that made her so mad to invite them in when they started singing that song.
I oddly found the movie a little too over-sexed.
Anyway, sure I’ll have more thoughts later

Great. Definitely portrays a complicated and dangerous set of characters each of which has a slightly different look at the world and handles relationships and emotions differently.
Delroy Lindo kinda steals the show though no matter how great the rest of the cast is. He’s too funny and relatable with some great character moments

He’s always great. It’s still one of the biggest snubs of the recent Oscara that he wasn’t nominated at minimum for da 5 bloods. He was sensational in that.

They were threatening to go to town to see the daughter at the store if they weren’t allowed in. So the mom invited them in .

So it's like Django but with vampires.

Not at all. It’s like someone wanted to make a remake of From Dusk Till Dawn, but this time, make it an Oscar level movie

This movie was really good and really original.
My main man Delroy Linda stole it.
Highly recommend, movie was awesome.

The scene with all the vampires dancing to Irish folk music kicked arse.

Loved that scene.
Him being Irish is a fun switch. Because he knows what it was like dealing with the British.

Just got out. I thought it was ok. Some scenes were really fun, some were pretty cheesy. I did like how music played a big part in the story.

I thought Lindo was great, but Micheal B as Stack (especially after his turn) was dynamite on screen.
Fyi: there are two post-cedit scenes. Stick around.

saw it last night, it's a fun movie. The post credits with Buddy Guy were the highlight for me.

It was ok. The best part was the music.

Is it really that white people are the villains?

Really fun movie. The scene where Sammie played felt like a huge swing that really paid off. Coogler is a really good director, also loved the aspect ratio shift when they everted they building and they fighting started.

So I guess that’s a no. That’s good to know!
