Ford Motor Co. is preparing to raise prices on cars rolling off assembly lines starting next month if President Donald Trump doesn’t deliver on the tariff relief he’s hinted at for automakers.
Without a major change in Trump’s tariff policies, “we anticipate the need to make vehicle pricing adjustments in the future, which is expected to happen with May production,” Andrew Frick, president of Ford’s gas-fueled and electric car units, said Wednesday in a memo to dealers.

So what were the previous price increases attributed to, ever price out a decent F-150 XLT?

You mean they use cheap suppliers and still msrp f150’s for 60k?
I wouldnt buy an f150 at the non-tariff price.

Also, the vehicles yet to reach the lots are already being placed in an NHTSA recall.
The only reason to buy a ford right now is if you absolutely love hanging out at the dealer waiting area for a recall to fix a previous recall.

Lol, so they have an excuse for raising their prices... Why have they raised every year previous to the tariffs?

It means they want more time to move more production to the USA.

Ford is already overpriced. Last I checked they were still pretty loaded with 2024 models. And they weren’t discounting them much.
People will continue to look elsewhere I think.

This is why we have open markets. frick any kind of bail outs. Raise your prices and you won’t sell any of your shitty Mexican made cars.

Because people generally sell things for what others will pay for them, not what they have in them.

This. They think I'm going to spend $60-80k on a pickup full of Chinese parts? F*** them.
These had zero Chinese parts and cost less than half. What gives...

Why isn't it in the USA now?
When they move it, will their production costs be higher or lower?

These clowns are already trying to do it on current inventory. They’re gonna have a lot of over priced metal on their lots.

You mean they are going to increase prices just like every year? For one of the most popular truck brands in the US? This isn’t news they are just blaming what they always do on tariffs this year.
