Jerk the ball? Never heard this expression before?? Pop flies have more to do with pulling the front shoulder and and getting the barrel under the ball, also has to do with pitch movement as well.

Surely not one of LSU's players in the line up are "all pull hitters" and get pitched away especially offspeed. Surely none of them let their rear shoulder follow their top hand in their swings to pop up(hit fly balls) over and over. What in the hell are you talking about bro.

None of that has to do with jerking the ball. This team goes opposite field as much as any of Jay's teams seem to have in the 4 years he has been here. I think the issue has simply been swinging under high pitches They are pressing.a lot right now and swinging at bad pitches in general, I think.

Pop ups are called hitting under the ball and not having a level swing.thats what they are doing
