Curiel misplay.

Curiel misplayed ball hit by Ike Irish. The ball hit the left field wall 2 feet above the ground. Curiel was back waiting for the fly ball but not against the wall. He did not go back far enough. If he goes all the way back, he makes an easy catch. Am I the only one who noticed this?

Misplays in the outfield has been a theme all weekend. Derek hasn't figured out how to play the big green monster in left yet

I had a topic on how this outfield just isn’t good or consistent and I was downvoted to death. How about last nights blunders? I guess Tiger fans will put a blind eye on that too.
Good outfield play is about the jump you get on the ball just prior to contact but all these baseball fans probably never played the outfield. Just because the fielder wasn’t close to the ball when it hits the ground doesn’t mean they didn’t play the ball wrong.

It’s not fair to blame Curiel for that misplay - it’s really on Jay. If he wouldn’t be so resistant to recruiting players 7’0” or above, then that would have been a routine fly ball.
