Thats exactly what folks critical of Trump are saying. That he got "lucky". For Trump to be such an idiot as some claim, he sure "gets lucky " an amazing amount of time!!! Lol
At this point, does it matter??? All Trump does is win, win, win! His victories all are making things better forbtax paying Americans.

Seems to be no lack of people who are perfectly content to be subservient to China, and wish to continue to be so, even at the detriment to their own future, which if things continue to go down that path is bleak indeed. Economically unsustainable, and impoverishing, but we are littered with generations who’ve only lived for themselves, constantly kicking the can down to future generations, and only concerning themselves with the here and the now.

Good. When we think of China, we should never think about the people. It isn't about the people. It's about the damn CCP, who even repress their own people. A world "led" by China will never even have a chance to be a good world.
Sadly, America's government has been corrupt, too. The big difference, though, is that our government contains the framework that allows us to TRY and clean it up. That's actually where we are right now, with an historic opportunity to right the ship and make America everything that it can and should be.
It's a shame that so many can't understand where we are right now. Unfortunately, there will always be those who are more interested in telling everybody how smart they are instead of really caring about what's best for the country.
