I like this guy the more I hear him. (I'm not gay, lol) He's always calm and explains in great detail.

It the natural evolution of economic populism.

Not surprising coming from a guy that worked hand in hand with George Soros.

I agree. I had never heard him speak nor knew much about him until very recently. He definitely understands a thing or two about money, economics, and stock markets!!
Dude was mostly responsible for breaking the Bank of England!!!

quote:

President Trump’s decision to nominate Scott Bessent as the new US Treasury Secretary will put a macro hedge fund manager at the heart of US policy for the first time.

The Key Square Group founder was eventually nominated after seeing off the leftfield choice Howard Lutnick, chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, and Marc Rowan, Apollo Global Management CEO, who emerged as a late contender.

Bessent earned his spurs as a hedge fund manager working with some of the original titans of the industry, including Jim Chanos and George Soros, with whom he had a long connection from the early 1990s.

Little known beyond niche macro hedge fund circles is quite how prominent a role Bessent played in the drama of “Black Wednesday” in 1992, when Soros and his firm made more than $1bn shorting the pound in the notorious bet which “broke” the Bank of England.

The trade triggered an economic and political crisis in Britain, with interest rates spiking to 15% as the Bank tried to prop up the pound to avoid being forced out of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM)

This is stupid. When Wall St. grows wealthy, so does Main St.

No, they haven’t

They are not advocating for unrealized gains tax

They are not advocating for increasing capital gains tax

They are not advocating for wealth redistribution

You are all just mad that they are no longer prioritizing subsidizing Wall Street at the expense of the working class in this country

Our country needs a strong working class to survive. If the middle of the nation isn’t having kids, we are a dying country

Main street has made lots of money on a bullish wall street, I certainly believe there's correlation in one side bringing the other up in wealth along the way

Yup the only way main st gets wealthy without Wall Street is massive government intervention and subsidies, which apparently is a pillar now of conservatives.

I can't wait until the board goes fully pro-union. Then, the cycle will be complete.

We manufacture more than CHina per capita and have 500k construction jobs being created.

The opportunity is there for a strong working class, white people will NOT do it.
