I've been told since they're white, they're racist. And that's a problem.

While the pictures I've seen of purported dire wolf puppies had white HAIR, their skin like practically every placental mammal (but not all) is no doubt white too!
Off the top of my head, only the Polar Bear and the American Bison have dark skin under their fur. But there may be others...

Weren't they around during the Ice Age? Makes sense they were white. Wouldn't be surprised if a decent amount of woolly mammoths were white.

Well, Americans don't care about their whiteness. The most popular dog breed in the US for 26 years was the Black Lab. It recently got replaced by a smaller bulldog breed. Probably due to more people living in apartments these days with the high expense of larger homes with a yard.
