No he didn’t bring up the redshirt idea. Koki’s prying arse trying to be a snake and asked him if he thought about redshirting him if it continued

Jay Johnson did not bring it up. Koki Riley did, and he tweeted it in a misleading way where it seemed like Johnson brought it up. He was simply stating if it came to it and Guidry did not pitch, then they would go about getting Guidry a medical redshirt.

He said GG has to hit some benchmarks but he hasn’t done it yet. They were not ready to make any decision on a RS at this point and we’re still trying to get him ready. Didn’t sound remotely like they were close to making that decision. Hopefully he keeps checking and gets ready. He didn’t say no to this weekend or next or the following.

He wasn’t able to hit his benchmarks mid day but they would try again tonight. His family just left about an hour ago after frying shrimp and some Cappie. He was not close to hitting his benchmarks. I am not speaking about what opinions are being discussed but it’s very possible he wakes up ready to pitch his arse off this weekend and his back will allow him to hit every benchmark and not much will be mentioned about the back issues.
