How many roster spots do we have available? Is anyone else expected to transfer out? Givens maybe?

We need to go get on Darrion Williams from Texas Tech ASAP. He declared for the draft and entered the portal.

As of now:
we return 3 guys (Miller/Givens/Reed)
3 freshman (Mosley/Reece/Gilhool)
5 transfers (King/Sutton/Thomas/Nwoko/Mackinnon)
So we have 11(Unless I missed someone) , I think we can have 15 scholarships total.

It will be interesting to see how programs manage that. Most, nearly all, coaches have rotations of, at most 11 guys. Many have smaller rotations 8-9 guys. Even McMahon, though he had rosters of 13 "scholarship" players (1 each year was technically a "walk on" to get around the loss of 1 scholarship penalty) effectively red-shirted a guy each year. I can't imagaine many coaches would want to spread the NIL money thinner by paying guys 13, 14, 15 significant NIL money just to effectively play the role of "walk on"

The top 5 players are making most the money. The next 5 probably make what 2 of the top 5 make combined, and the 11-15,roster spots make what one starter makes combined.
Same as the professional leagues. All the money goes to the stars and starters.

There are a bunch of ballers out there. Time to unveil all that money and get em.
