Kinda interesting to see a show where you have first hand knowledge of the incident ( of sorts)
Season 16, Episode 7 details a KC-135 tanker that lost two engines off of the same wing in mid-flight during Desert Storm. I was a contractor in Jeddah when this happened and I had always heard it had occurred due to the flight crew hot-dogging. But seeing this episode it completely changed what I had heard through the grapevine over thirty years ago.
Kudos to the USAF crew in handling what was almost a horrible tragedy and turning it into a shining example of teamwork by the crew to save the A/C.
I walked past this aircraft every day in the facility for almost six months after this incident so it was very interesting to hear that they were able to fix the bird and fly it for another thirteen years despite the damage.

my wife loves to watch that, and I have have first hand knowledge of several of the incidents we've watched, some are pretty accurate but several are way off the mark in accuracy

That’s how I am with How It’s Made.
And why did I once decide to watch Air Disasters the night before I had to get on a plane?

There’s a pilot named Hoover that does videos he calls a pilot debrief on plane crashes. Pretty interesting

my wife always thought I was odd for watching shows like that, and airline disaster movies prior to flying for work. i told her it never phased me to watch them.

I watch this show a lot. What amazes me is the large percentage of air disasters caused by pilot error. Like a very, very large percentage!

I binge watched this on my flight from L.A. to Sydney.

there are a lot of accidents/incidents that are truly a result of pilot error, but in the case of most accidents it's rarely one single thing, but a combination of things that contribute to the cause of the accident, there are also a very large percentage of accidents that are attributed to pilot error that simply are not true, usually if the pilots are dead and can't defend their actions and they can't find anything else o pin it on you can bet it will be deemed pilot error, as previously posted, that show is not entirely accurate

I kinda would've blamed in the old days, but now...
I'm just happy if they aren't overtly flaming...
( the FAs, not the pilots
