I've traded the markets all my adult life and this drop feels more like 1987 than any other. Having said that our markets today are a lot more liquid than then. So, we will not have a total crash like then. But, Crypto is crashing today and futures (i think) will follow in about 30 mins when they open. Traders like me make a ton of $s in these situations because we know how to trade it. My advise is to wait until late in the day before making any buys. I think we see the bottom soon but I'll wait for signs before getting all back in. I don't know where the bottom but I think we are getting close.

I thought crypto Bros were celebrating being decoupled from the risk trade.

I think everyone expects the market to be down tomorrow due to the EU tariffs coming down. For some reason they didn't back down

Market looks like another massive down day on Monday. No good news on the tariff front so we continue downward pressure

I don't day trade unless the Vix gets over 20 because it's hard to beat computer trading programs. But, the Vix was over 40 Friday and will be even higher tomorrow. Experienced traders kill it in times like these.

I have to give the crooks credit, they’re letting the air out of this fraud balloon with the quickness. House of cards if there ever was one.

New taking point, stock market was fraud and needed to go down anyways

Up or down is great

I love the spin on here sometimes it's better than the 24 hour news channels with the creative ways to explain things

Majority of us just keep chugging along like normal

You think a market that dumps 20% in a week ‘cause “tariffs” is built on fundamentals? It’ll still be overvalued if it drops another 15%.

When did overvalued mean fraud. Which one you going with?

And while I don't agree with any supposedly massive fraud controlling the markets.

I do think that the major indices being run up by massive over valuation of an AI boom that is impossibly hard to monetize is also unraveling here as well. Risk off trade

This board has been truly entertaining the past several years. My favorite was 12-18 months ago when we were flooded with "because of Biden, my 401K hasn't gone up in 2 years" guys who had to have it pointed out to them how much higher stocks were over the period in question.

Yeah. Plenty of names now trading at fair or even attractive valuations. But a lot of the AI-adjacent stuff could come WAY down from here.

For what?

For a fast trade, SP500 mini futures bottomed almost perfectly on a fib projection at 4,852 right on the open (5pm CST). The problem is will that be the ultimate bottom? Who cares because I'm taking easy profits right now. I'll go longer term tomorrow afternoon if we get a full reversal. Trading futures is usually harder because you're usually up against experts. Tomorrow every trader wannabe will be in it. Easy money!!
