Does anyone else see the connection between the two?

Who knew it? USAID was the world’s slush fund. It funded everything under the sun. Once cut off you see just how extensive the influence on everyone from state officials to federal judges. The fax outrage of the MSM ensued.

Now we have tariffs. The US is basically giving reciprocal tariffs. We are only treating others as they have been treating us. But again fax outrage from the deep state and the MSM.

What would it look like if your government were bought and paid for through kickbacks and misappropriation of government money? The globalist are behind everything. Cutting of USAID hurt the globalist. Raising tariffs hurts the globalist.

Trump is hurting the globalist where it counts, in the pocketbook. Even Rand Paul has been shown to be a globalist.

Further reinforcing the fact that the word "globalist" has no objective meaning.

Are they reciprocal though?

The one funny thing about this is the spending/us debt has gotten scary enough that well-over half of everyone is onboard with the wholesale changes. Enough of the BS/theft.

Deep down, alot of Dems are on Trump side on this as well.
They just cannot say it.
Because the Jacobin True Believers are out of their GD minds....

So the guy that has fought the hardest in the senate to end our entanglements in foreign affairs is a globalist?

This is some 1984 level double think.

I have a feeling it will happen. It’ll take a few years, but we’ll get there.

We have both houses and the presidency. If it doesn't happen now it's not happening.

Because he’s a libertarian. Have you followed much public policy in the past decade?

Rand is a small government, cut spending, cut taxes, no foreign intervention, gut the military industrial complex, get out of NATO, don’t support the Ukraine, legalize weed, pro states rights, libertarian.

He didn’t support the Iraq war. He fought the hardest of any senator to block Ukraine funding for the past two years. He has been against every expansion of NATO. He would domestically back a Milei style cutting of government departments.

He doesn’t support tariffs because he’s a free trader. I don’t think that free trade works as well he does, but that does not in anyway make him a globalist. He’s actually so anti-globalist that he believes people should be able to buy and sell goods anywhere around the world minimal any interference from any government.

So to answer your question, that is why he does not support tariffs. He would argue that the way to make America wealthy would be to incentivize, economic growth through other policy, and drastically cut spending across the military and entitlements.

You can agree or disagree with that information, but that’s the way thinks. He is not a globalist.

ETA: people like you scare the shite out of me, because you don’t know your arse from a hole in the ground. You’re regurgitating whatever you heard on some dying cable news channel or from some fricked up internet blogger.

The hell you say… No sir.

First of all, I don’t trust Doctors. I really don’t trust politicians. Where he believes in tariffs or not is not the point. A man with half a brain and one leg could figure out that if opposing countries levy tariffs on countries goods then we have to reciprocate.

Having an economy theory is one thing going TDS and blowing a gasket is another. I think he is a globalist like every other worthless TPOS in the senate.

You know that no one fought Anthony Fauci harder during Covid than Rand Paul, right?

You can’t do it without a filibuster proof majority. CRs won’t get you there.

What Trump and them are doing is turning the process upside down. They are cutting by refusing to spend. Technically, this doesn’t change things, but it actually does, and Congress will eventually accept the new reality.

We have come full circle. This is the equivalent of progs & neocons calling Trump’s supporters “Kremlin Apologists” because they support defunding Zelensky.
