Or is it the lefty bat that gives him the edge?

The bat, JJ often subs Braswell late when we have a lead.

Better bat. Less of a glove. Depends on what you prefer.

The competition is good for them both and it helps the team having them both as options.

If Reaves doesn’t start hitting more they may as well turn over to Braswell. He’s the better defender for sure.

The both bring good things to the table

Neither has taken the job to be the every day 3B.

The platoon system is working at 3B

He has an .880 fielding percentage…Braswell .940. .880 isn’t gonna cut it….940 is serviceable at the hot corner

These are their hitting stats in all games since the start of SEC play.

Updated the numbers, I had Reaves hit total wrong. Braswell is coming on after a terrible start

Reaves
6-17 (.352/.521/.529)
1HR
2 RBI
6 BB
5 RUNS

Braswell
8-24 (.333/592/333)
8RUNS
5 RBI
6BB
2HBP
5K

I think Braswell gets the start for Auburn. Reaves is supposed to be the upgrade at the plate, and it’s just not showing.

Reeves - 28 total bases in 46 at bats
Braswell-16 total bases in 57 at bats.

Braswell has picked it up lately I hope it stays that way for sure. He’s a very good team player.
