Bring Her Back (A24 Horror) Trailers (Early Showing 5/19)

From Danny and Michael Philippou, the Australian directors of Talk to Me (2022). If you haven’t seen that, do yourself a favor and watch it too. It was recently added to Netflix and is currently #5 in the Top 10. Might need subtitles for that one because the Aussie accents are thick for some characters. This new movie opens May 30th.

It was well received here if that counts. It’s a great low-budget horror with similarities to It Follows. I think it may still be A24’s highest grossing horror and the budget was only $4.5m.

It’s not 100% confirmed, but most people think this movie is the Monday Mystery Movie/Scream Unseen at Regal/AMC this upcoming Monday (5/19) at 7pm. For those not familiar with the promotions, it’s only $5 (Regal) or $7 (AMC) to see an early showing of an upcoming release. The catch is they don’t officially tell you what it is beforehand other than the MPAA rating and sometimes the genre. It’s confirmed to be Horror and Talk to Me was also a mystery movie.

Movie looks generic. Like ive seen it before. Wish we could get another good Insidious or Conjuring movie. Need another original horror flick like Get Out or the first Saw movie. I even really enjoyed The VVitch.

I recommend a theater watch for this one. Talk to Me had more jump scares but this was far more disturbing. Two people walked out after some particularly gruesome scenes. Not the most original story but makes up for it with the direction, makeup/effects, and the performances from the main actresses and little weird kid. Another solid entry in 2025’s horror catalog.
