She was discussing this season and upcoming season - this one seemed to get her frustrated. She's losing some players and talked about how hard it is to recruit. A lot of players are seeing what happened with Van Lith and how much more success you can have not being buried on an SEC roster. Tough to compete when your Dawn's little sis.

Its only going to get worse unless something is done, so a lot of these old school all time great coaches are just going to keep dropping off because they just don't want to deal with this bullshite anymore

I agree and those are her words basically not my opinion she just seemed more frustrated than usual I can't imagine how hard it is to do the job now.

I coach as well but it's high school and I can't imagine investing in players and then just leaving at a moment's notice. Brutal. Honestly don't know how they do it. Long hours.

I give her 3 season max before she just calls it quits. Not worth it for these aging legendary coaches anymore

She was a starter on an SEC roster. She had more success because she went and played in a much weaker conference. Which anyone would have more success doing. But as soon as she ran into an SEC team in the tournament she looked just like she did last year.

You could hear it in her post game press conference. She made a comment along the lines of “ Now it’s time to go hit the portal right?” “This one’s leaving that one’s leaving,and this one’s coming in.” You could hear the frustration. I doubt she coaches much longer. I don’t blame her. Why would a future hall of fame coach want to deal with all these kids BS with the portal and NIL?

This is why Saban left. She’s starting to sound like Saban. It’s worse than pro sports. No contracts, no salary caps, no consequences. Never thought I would see college sports become worse than pro sports.
