What a difference a few years makes. The NBA is a boring product mixed with unlikeable players. The decision to push stars over teams has backfired.

The NBA seemed on the path to somewhat challenging the NFL, but now I’d rather watch the MLB and hockey. Those sport haven’t been destroyed by divas or 3 point shooting BS “games”

I became a fan of the NHL right before COVID. Also one of my sister's married a guy from Edmonton, so kind a helped out.

If you never been to a hockey game, go to one.

It is the 2nd best NA sport.

You have Ovechkin, Crosby, McDavid, Bedard; you have Judge, Ohtani, Witt, Elly DLC. NBA you have Steph and who else?

The NBA totally empowered the players - much more than any sport. And the implications of that are many and varied but it's absolutely hurt the overall popularity of the league.

For me, I just don't get all the sitting out - and I'm not speaking to tanking - that's a whole other and separate issue.

I'm talking about players sitting out meaningful games all the time. Hell man when I played hoops that's all I wanted to do. These guys seem to want to sit out as much as possible....never mind little Joey who might get to go to 2 games a year and see you play....so what, right?

Not to mention MacKinnon (likely Hart winner again), Makar, Kucherov, Eichel, Draisaitl.

Yes those leagues are way better at being boring. Completely agree.

NHL is better than both.

I agree that the NBA is boring as there's too much scoring.

MLB is a joke. Team's gross revenue is lower than other team's payroll. Any team with a low payroll hasnt won the world series since 2003.

Meanwhile, in the NHL, a small market team like Pittsburgh can keep elites like Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin throughout their entire career.
