NBA Defensive Player of Year

I know he won’t win it because SGA will win MVP and they like to spread awards around. But OKC has the biggest Net spread in history so far at +13.0. That is defense as much as offense.
Lou Dort will put you in the Dorture Chamber. He always gets assigned opposing teams best scorer/player. Lets look at how good he is doing:
Royce Young
@royceyoung
There are a lot of excellent Lu Dort stats that paint a clear picture of why he should be the Defensive Player of the Year, but this is pretty demonstrative
Royce Young
@royceyoung
This can keep going too.
- Ant Edwards: 27.2 ppg on 44% (vs. OKC: 22.3 on 36.4%)
- Lillard: 24.9 on 44.8% (vs. OKC: 19.0 on 33.3%)
- Zion: 24.6 on 56.7% (vs. OKC: 17.0 on 54.5%)
Every opposing leading scorer averages under their season average against OKC . #Dorture

They never give it to perimeter defenders for some reason

Amen Thompson won't get a look. But I definitely think he should.

True. Shame they ignore all other defenders

This team when they clamp down on D, and then turn in the O, amazing how fast they overcome or put the pedal down. Their D plays into O.
So far tonight they overcame:
Down 1 at 4:38 2nd, 42-41. At half its 61-49, so a 20-7 run.
Early game: Down 21-11. Then took lead 22-21, 11-0 run.
Its been like this all year, the comebacks. They are not always blowing teams out wire to wire. But when they decide to clamp down its quite something

Bump. Shut down Curry and Shai the last two games. Curry had 3 points last night.

SGA is like the 4th or 5th best defensive player on his own team. C'mon man.

He doesn't deserve it because he doesn't get enough minutes but the best defensive performance I've seen all year was Bald shutting down Kawhi in crunch time.
