One more thing to milk us dry for? Come see your local vet and give your dog 27 vaccines then we'll give you your flea/tick prevention med.

The fact that I can't go into petsmart and select the right nexguard or simparica for my dogs weight is absolutely absurd.

And if you try to buy it online, your vet has to approve the request from the online seller. They won’t approve it unless you take your dog in to them and you get charged for them looking at him to approve the meds. Can’t win for losing!

I get what you are saying, and I am aggravated about this too, but it is a prescription drug. It's probably the same reason we can't just walk into Walmart and buy Oxy.

Sure, there are over-the-counter options that are less effective, but to get the good stuff you have to have a prescription.

And if you are going to a vet that makes you come see them before you can get flea/tick meds then find a different vet.

It’s 2025, you can get it online. They have “telehealth” where you can have an online appt with a vet

Yes; online purchasing is great;

but you still have to upload your vets prescription before you can buy.

Oxy is a highly addictive opioid with major side effects. And with high recreational value for humans. Is there a concern that people will abuse flea medicine ?

I couldn't agree more on how big of a scam I felt this was and I finally decided to take a chance on something I discovered...that may have also been a scam. There is a website called CanadaPetCare, com that I have now been using for 2 years with no problems at all. I have been ordering Bravecto for my 2 Cane Corsos from there with no prescription and at almost half the cost. They are not from Canada, I am pretty sure they are in Hong Kong. What I have been receiving has been coming in the same packaging as what I received here in the U.S.and appears to be manufactured by the same company except what is sold in other parts of the world. Every shipment I have received so far has been labeled from Austria and all the writing on the package is in German along with a Exp Date. I am set up for auto shipment and my Norton software has them labeled as safe and provides the Norton Shipment Guarantee. I know it could be counterfeit, but they have had no adverse reactions and no flea and tick problems. All I can say is it has worked out for me and my pups and I am sticking with it.

It's a dog, not a person.

I love dogs but it's absurd.

Are you thinking people are abusing flea and tick meds?

That would be something

Liquid Ivermectin is great for heartworms but won’t do shite for flea/ticks.

Because the general public is retarded and they will misuse it which could result in harm to the animal or medicine resistant fleas and ticks.

Seresto collar every 8 months and 0.05 ml per 10 lbs of pet weight of 1% ivermectin orally from the tractor shop every month.

Saves me hundreds of dollars annually. Parasites aren’t really covered but meh.

Just trust the health professionals…even though they can’t articulate a good reason.

I don’t mind the flea medicines because Im perpetually enraged about the annual $600 teeth cleanings my wife says the dogs need.

This is where I get my dog's bravecto

I pay 92.80 for four of them compared to ~75 bucks a piece

It ships from the UK
