He's made some good contact but with that wind in both games, right field didn't seem like the best route.

Idk why pitchers won’t just give Jones the heater every time. Us fans love seeing a bear bomb as much as the opposing pitchers love giving them up

Honestly Jones has just been unfortunate, I believe all of his hits were Oppo straight into the wind. Last night I believe the announcer said he would’ve had three HRs this weekend so far.

I think he has taken some bad swings on some away breaking balls that is uncharacteristic of him if late, but he has battled with two strikes still.

I believe it was still a pretty good year for Jones last year too?

No he doesn’t lol. He’s batting .400 with like 9 homers. Nothing wrong with him at all

I’ve seen some old tendencies the last few games but if what the announcers said is true about his exit velos, he’d also have 3 HR’s this weekend if the wind was closer to neutral.

He had at least 2 others, maybe the 1st weekend of the season that the wind kept in the park. He’s had some bad luck with the wind, and I can easily see that making someone press. If he is, it’s not much. His still hitting over .400 after 3 weekends of SEC play is pretty remarkable considering just how big he is and his exit velos like you mentioned. His patience and willingness to go the other way is pretty rare and very mature for a guy his age and with his profile.

There have been good pitchers and very good pitchers he has seen. He had issues with pitch recognition last night. He swung at 3-4 pitches completely in the opposite batters box 2’ off the plate. Maybe he was guessing something else but whatever it was he wasn’t seeing those pitches. He has hit mistakes - hard.

He needs to lock in and hit line drives. Too many high fly balls

Sorry and yes it is.... but the BA was said to be .400. Don't blame me.

Jones SEC BA .222
OBP .282
HR 0

He’s pressing!
Constantly behind in the count.
He just needs to settle down!
