2016: Trump received 62,984,828 votes, defeating Hillary Clinton (65,853,514 votes), losing the popular vote but winning the Electoral College.

2020: Trump received 74,223,975 votes but lost to Joe Biden (81,283,501 votes). He did not serve a second consecutive term at this point.

2024: Trump returned and won a non-consecutive second term, receiving approximately 77,148,804 votes (based on preliminary counts as of March 29, 2025), defeating Kamala Harris (70,766,835 votes).

Obama LOST votes from '08 to '12.

Meanwhile, with Trump, the corporate news media and entertainment world overwhelmingly poured out negative stories & trashed him. (And we can’t forget the insane lawfare too!) Yet we're supposed to believe that the vitriol and violence against TESLA owners is wholly organic and aimed at Elon because he's aligned with Trump??

This is fricking ridiculous. We're clearly seeing results of a shadow campaign to attack the will of the people. Similar to the George Floyd 'Summer of love' riots. But this is targeted to one group of Americans.

Bottom line: not all people should be able to vote which in turn dictates how our lives are governed.

Well if you'll remember, everyone loved Trump until he got serious into politics.

Same with Elon. One of my liberal friends I used to work with completely loved Elon, SpaceX and Teslas around 2013 or so. But now that he's into the political side (especially after he bought Twitter), he completely hates Elon and Teslas.

On a similar note, it seemed like everyone loved JFK until he started fricking around with the system. Then he seemed to have mysteriously pissed some people off -- enough to kill him.

Politics does not make people rational.

Trying to make sense of all this will drive you nuts which is why I left partisan and identity politics sometime around the late 90's.

Issue politics I can make better sense of -- though that shite's irrational often as well.

MAGA without Trump will likely die off.

Bannon had some great ideas and needed a face guy.

His face guy turned out to be kind of a polarizing monster.

If done right and done at the right time, Bannon's ideas could have been espoused by either party but the Democrats went completely too far left.

Democrats can easily win it all back if they get back to the middle and leave the woke shite behind. We'll see if they do it though.

You really don't understand what's going on now.

You're going to be relegated to the dustbin of history.

If I die, sure, just like everyone will.

But metaphorically speaking, we'll see.

Obviously that, but also..

2020 was undeniably rigged.

Trump won Ohio in '16, '20 & '24. No GOP President has won without winning Ohio.

The GOP inexplicably did well down ballot in 2020, despite Trump 'losing' the White House.

Bellwether counties - Trump consistently dominated them each time he ran, yet magically, lost the 2020 election.

You believe Joe got 81 million votes too?

Trump gained in the black and hispanic demographics.

But by YOUR logic, even though Trump won the popular vote, that's legitimate reason enough for the losing side to get violent? Because that's exactly what's happening.

Where did I say anything about violence being justified? You said you didn't understand how people could be so angry with Musk when Trump gained votes in every election. I just pointed out that more people voted for someone other than Trump, than voted for him.

Why do you bother lying on message boards?

Oh, you didn't SAY it, but you clearly implied it.

Because every election has one side losing by MILLIONS of votes. That's not new. Hell, Bill Clinton won his 2nd election with only 43% of the electorate voting for him.

Yet only with this one do we see a spike in associated violence and vitriolic rhetoric from the other side, the LOSING side.

Again, you’re lying. Why? One singular day of protest which was a massive entrapment by the Democrat Speaker of the House & DC mayor.

The middle is definitely what people want and have wanted forever. The problem with this argument is that Trump & co. are already dominating the middle issues. Look at how hard Kamala tried to copy Trump's policies during the election campaign.

Trump is much closer to a Bill Clinton liberal than a classic conservative; he's pushed Democrats to the margin again & again. You can see it as they continue to double down & consistently move farther to the left.
