How quickly people forget that Braswell was one of our most consistent hitters in SEC play last year. Hes done a fine job defensively at 3rd this year too.

I do think that as long as Reaves doesn't kill us with his glove then he should start against every SEC RH. I think his bat is that good. But Braswell hasn't hurt himself defensively, or offensively (in SEC play anyway). Only one can start.

Me if I didn't understand baseball has such a thing as R/L splits. Not to mention Braswell is the better defensive 3B.

Key words are “last year”. This year Reaves has been the better hitter by quite a good margin so therefore Reaves deserves the starts regardless of pitcher. All Braswell is gonna do is bunt or chop a soft ground ball to short or 2nd base.

How long are people going to talk about how good he hit last year? Last year Jared Jones struck out a lot, this year he doesn’t. That’s the logic you are using.
Jeez it’s ok to say Braswell is not a good hitter. He wasn’t good at usce either, so maybe last year was the one off…
