I wasnt able to participate, but it does sound like it will still be challenging despite being co-op.

Let's go over the highlights, first. It sounds like Shadow of the Erdtree's Golden Hippopotamus was the easiest target for many, with a grand total of 194,996 big fellas taken down during the beta. After that, it was the Flame Chariots with 164,974 player wins, the Fire Monk, who was defeated 150,128 times, closely followed by the Flying Dragon of the Hills, who was eradicated 147,202 times. Then, there's a pretty significant drop in wins against the Royal Army Knights, who were defeated only 98,738 times.
Meanwhile, for those who managed to bravely fight on to the third in-game day to face the Night Lord Gladius, Beast of the Night, a total of 58,615 victories were claimed. Once again, there's quite a big difference between that number and, say, the Golden Hippopotamus, but you had to go through a lot more in order to get there, so well done to anyone who managed it.

This is such a stupid concept for this kind of game

My stats:
0 runes lost, 0 boss kills because those assholes didn't select me to participate.

I thought so too, but I'm not so sure now. It could create a helldivers 2 type introduction to souls games and bring a crowd that has never tried them.

I thought it looked quite odd and the reviewers said it was odd. Def an experimental concept and not really for me, but I'm glad some companies are still experimenting.

Im fine with them experimenting on the formula but im not totally sold on the idea. I will be picking it up but it could be something I play habitually or I could bounce off of it quickly.
Im just glad that they are pricing it below standard retail because it does seem to be less of a stand alone title and more of a mp focused knock off.

I played the beta. I am a lover of Souls borne games and it was fun. Same graphics and combat as elden ring, of course. I'll watch some videos when it comes out but as of right now, I think I'm gonna skip this one. Just seems like it will get stale really quick, even if they have multiple worlds and randomize enemies/boss, just doesn't seem like something I'd like to play very long. I also don't have a group of friends that I could continuously play with so maybe that's why I'm not as interested.

I think this will be key for this game. I predict a person will fall into one of two camps: those that have a regular group that will enjoy and those that don’t and won’t enjoy.
Everyone knows how it can be to summon in random players for boss help if they aren’t good against a boss

I don't either and I'm wondering if this will be any fun with randos (especially without voice chat).
I really enjoy the co-op in Souls games, but this seems like it'll be much more complicated without voice chat. I did have a ton of fun with randos in Hellsdivers 2, but that had voice chat, so it usually worked okay.

I've grown very tired of current From combat due to lack of depth, but that overview trailer showed some glimpses that they might be finally adding to the combat in some ways. Still cautious about it, but I'm more curious now at least.
