Those are German made models.
The X series (except the X3) are made in South Carolina.

Yea we keep it hearing that but it's almost as if doing business in America is so important that companies will do what they can to keep their market share

Well yea. This is a thread about tariffs

Why are they raising prices at all? I thought the country, not the consumer, pays the tariffs . That’s what Trump said.

You don't have to buy a BMW

I thought those didn't exist.

Just like I said they would do months ago. These companies have 2 choices. Eat the cost or raise prices and have products not sell why competitors take their business. I am sure the CEOs of the companies can afford a 15 million dollar bonus instead of a 25 million dollar bonus

A 4% increase on 25% tariffs and you guys act like the manufacturer is not absorbing the majority of the price increase on a multi-thousand-dollar increase

X1 is elsewhere also. I think the X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, and XM are all made in Spartansburg (so no tariffs). One of the reasons I went with an X.

For how long did they commit to these prices?

I'm not acting like anything at all. Adding a tax to something makes the cost go up; who knew?
Industries "absorb" prices shocks all the time. But they don't do it forever, because they go out of business if they do.

Do you not see the numbers getting higher? Trump just caused inflation.

Those prices were going up anyway. They are using tariffs as an excuse.

The market will shake things out for them. I am sure if they feel they can increase the price more they will but at some point they will cede market share

Yep. I was thinking the same thing

All "X" models with the exception of the X1 are built in SC, even the "M" models.

Indeed. Sounds like BMW will destroy the profit to maintain market share.
This can only last a very short time.

I don't think you know what that word means
You know how you can avoid that "inflation"?
