GOP senators warn Trump agenda will be slowed by internal divisions

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) has cautioned GOP colleagues that the Senate isn’t likely to pass President Trump’s border security, energy and tax agenda until July at the earliest, and some Republican senators are warning the bill could drag well into the fall.
Much of Washington’s attention has focused on the rocky path Trump’s agenda faces in the House, where Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) slim majority means he can only lose one GOP vote and still pass GOP legislation.

But Republican senators are warning that getting a major package through the Senate will take months longer than has been publicly discussed, due to the sheer size of Trump’s ambitious agenda and internal Republican divisions over an array of policy questions.
While Thune has told Republican senators he wants to move a budget resolution in the “next work period” before the April recess to show progress on Trump’s agenda, the “finished product” is still months away.
“Thune and others have said they don’t think it’s realistic we’ll move the finished product until the end of July,” a Republican senator said of Thune’s projected timeline for moving Trump’s agenda.

Elon should send out a message that any GOP congressman/senator sitting on their hands will be primaried with his full financial support.
Congress is such a shithole even when we “control” it.

How quickly do you think they would move if it were Bidens agenda?

If this were a Dem president with that majority it already would be passed. Why can't Republicans work with the same urgency as Democrats?

From “thehill.com.” Due caution required.

But the best is yet to come!
Thune was always going to frick it all up and fail the big beautiful bill. It's shake and bake and Massie halped.

Warp speed, because politicians get rich off the democrat’s policy. Trump’s agenda enriches the citizens, not the DC cocktail party goers.
Everyone in DC, besides Trump and his closest allies, are only there to get that 170k a year salary to balloon to 10+ million. Everything else is irrelevant to them. This is the reason our society, cities, and country are in shambles.

It is not "blackmail" when you tell them openly that it will happen.

I 100% agree.
Not arresting anyone so far has already split the damn party, believe that.
Sickens me we have a bunch of pedophiles walking around and we know who they are.
Trump hasnt done a thing but talk talk talk.
No walking but against those that cant fight back like the Houthis.

GOP Senators should heed a warning themselves, they are choosing to be on the wrong side of voters.
